2014 Projects and activities
- Adopt a Highway project on Highway 27 just north of Augusta, conducted 4 clean-up day
- Attended and/or spoke out at neighboring town board meetings, hearings
- Attended seminars and sponsored educational offerings on community rights
- Established and maintained a network of contacts with other towns and grassroots organizations as well as with UW-EC, UW Stout, DNR and Eau Claire county officials, Wisconsin Center for Investigative Journalism, and local news media
- Developed and distributed educational flyers
- Developed and published ads for community education re: public hearings, actual and proposed mines within 14 miles of Augusta, water usage and water rights, community rights, contact information regarding fugitive dust, water quality, traffic delays at railroad crossings
- Staffed informational booths at Sustainability Fair and Northern Wisconsin State Fair
