DID YOU KNOW... Five Star Properties off Hwy 27 in Town of Bridge Creek is looking for a permit to add a sand washing plant to it's current operations which would require one or more high capacity wells AND potentially trucking sand through downtown Augusta on a regular basis and possibly on Town of Bridge Creek roads. 3/22/2018
DID YOU KNOW... HiCrush off Cty M in City of Augusta and Town of Bridge Creek is hauling in sand from the Black River Falls area to their drying plant on a regular basis. A CES member counted 18 dump trucks on Hwy 12 between BRF and Fairchild on Hwy 12/10 in approximately 20 minutes on a weekday, mid-afternoon. These dump trucks were headed to and from HiCrush drying plant on Hwy 27 & Cty M. This is affecting our air and our roads. Cty M is already damaged. 3/22/2018

The Town of Bridge Creek is located in the southeast portion of Eau Claire County, WI. Within the town border is the city of Augusta. The Village of Fairchild lies just to the southeast of Bridge Creek Township.
Bridge Creek is a large town with a total of 104.3 square miles (the largest in the county and possibly the state) and a population of 1900 in 2010. It has a higher number of small dairy farms compared to most other Wisconsin towns. There are many small, family-run businesses scattered throughout the rural areas in addition to the businesses in Augusta itself. The northeast portion of the town contains many wooded acres owned by Eau Claire county along with state wildlife refuges. Count parks include Coon Fork Lake County Park and Lake Eau Claire County Park. Residents live in Bridge Creek for several reasons. It's quiet, rural lifestyle attracts those who want serenity. Others have lived in the township for generations. There are also those who are attracted to the many opportunities for outdoor recreation, and still those who seek a more self-sustaining lifestyle by growing their own food and raising their own livestock. |
