Black Creek runs through the Township of Fairchild feeding into the Coon Fork Lake in Bridge Creek.  Other creeks are Schoolhouse Creek and McGaver Creek.


According to the 
United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 34.5 square miles (89.4 km²), of which, 34.5 square miles (89.3 km²) of it is land and 0.04 square miles (0.1 km²) of it (0.09%) is water.
