The 2010 census indicated that there were 1096 residents. The Village of Fall Creek, population of 1392, is the only town. It is located on Highway 12 between Eau Claire and Augusta. The picturesque area, access to an abundance outdoor recreational activities, along with roadways that link the area to Eau Claire and Interstate 94, have attracted many families to the area and their homes are interspersed in the hills and valleys.
Today the hilltop woodlands are now harvested for lumber versus cleared for planting. Many of the family farms have been replaced with loafing barns of hundreds of dairy cattle and milking parlors. The fall months are filled with sights and sound the corn harvest. The large combines hum throughout the day and night and semi-truck loads of corn are delivered to the modern mill to be dried and stored. We are fortunate to have retained the small organic dairies and produce farms in our township. The agricultural community takes pride in the implementation of forestry and conservation practices that improved and preserved the quality of the woodlands and waterways. Fall Creek, Bears Grass Creek, Beaver Creek, Rush Creek and Sand Creek feed into the Eau Claire River which provides for canoeing, fishing, beaches, and camping at Harstad County Park. Fall Creek has two park areas along the creek and pond. The township offers opportunity for a variety of hunting, roadways for bicycling and trails for snowmobiling. ![]()
